 You may be eligible if you are:

• 65 years of age or older.
• An individual under 65 years of age who has a disability, or is visually impaired according to Social Security guidelines.
• An individual 18 years of age or younger.
• A pregnant woman.
• A parent or caretaker.
• A former foster care youth.

 Medicaid covers medically necessary inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room services. Medicaid will not cover items such as private rooms; private-duty nursing while in the hospital; and emergency room services for routine treatment.
