If you have paid this year's tax bill and again receive another bill then most probably you have made any changes in your property. This increase in assessment is called a supplemental tax. You might have made changes after the assessment of your property and that's why you are receiving a new tax bill which will include the remaining tax.

Can I pay my property tax in installments?

Featured in Pay Property Taxes, County of Montgomery

Yes, you can choose to pay either annually or in installments. But you must inform your lender before May 1st about your choice. If you don't inform then the county and your mortgage will consider that taxes will be paid in installments. The first installment is pending on September 30th and the second on December 31st. If the first installment is not paid by the due date then your tax will become delinquent and you will be charged a penalty and also interest based on the delinquent amount.
