How are taxes billed?

Based on the January 1st ownership year, taxes are due and payable the following year in two installments. Tax bills are mailed once a year; both the 1st and 2nd installment tax bill payment stubs are included. Due dates are on each installment statement. Taxes not paid on or before the due date are subject to penalty. Property with a total tax bill of $25.00 or less will be billed the total due on the 1st installment.

  • You may pay in person in our office. Hours are 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
  • You may drop your payment in the Child Support dropbox located on the north end of the Courthouse.
  • Pay electronically using Single Electronic Pay on our website.
  • Setup a monthly payment plan or Spring/Fall payment option on our website.
  • You may use our self-serve kiosk located just outside our office.
  • Pay by check or credit card* over the phone by calling toll free 1-877-690-3729 and using the Jurisdiction Code 7693 . You will need your duplicate number (found at the top of your tax bill) and the routing and account numbers from your check.

*There is a fee to pay by credit card.

There are a number of credits and exemptions available to qualifying taxpayers. Your County Auditor can provide you with information and assist you in determining whether or not you qualify.
