Yes! If a customer is unable to pay an outstanding amount on a Rowlett City utility bill and is in danger of service being disconnected, the customer may request an extension of up to ten calendar days to pay the account (excluding the day of interruption or if service is already interrupted) and provided a Utility Payment Extension Agreement is completed and signed.
The extension agreement shall include the complete amount past due. Extension agreements are available to customers only once every three months for a maximum of four times in a twelve month period, may not be consecutive. Failure to comply with the terms of any extension agreement will result in disconnection of service without further notice; customer will not be eligible for any additional extensions for twelve months following a broken extension; and a $27.50 reconnect service fee imposed.
