FAQs

How do I get a copy of my driving record?

Driving records are processed through the Adjudication division. A  driving record includes any special license classifications (CDL),  restrictions, and a list of any tickets, accidents and/or suspensions  you may have incurred in the last 3 years. You can request a copy of  your driving record online,  in person, or by mail at the Division of Motor Vehicles, Adjudication,  600 New London Avenue, Cranston, RI 02920. For more information, call  the Adjudication section at (401) 462-0800.

Can I order a vanity plate for my motorcycle?

Yes. As long as the plate is available and not currently registered to a passenger vehicle or another motorcycle, you may place the order. Costs are listed in the DMV Fee Table

I've changed the color of my car. Is there anything I need to do?

Yes. You must update the information on your registration. You may do this at any DMV branch location.
