Once you have obtained a business license certificate, a courtesy renewal notice will be mailed to you on March 1 of each year. Licenses which expire on April 30 must renew by that date to avoid a penalty. If you do not receive a renewal notice, please contact the business license coordinator at (707) 449-5185, option 2, or by email at Business.LicenseMail@cityofvacaville.com. Failure to receive a renewal notice does not relieve the business owner's responsibility to renew the business license.

The best way to inquire about the status of your business license application is to inquire by e-mail.  

 Fees are based on the number of full-time equivalent employees (2 part-time employees who work 25 hours or less may equal 1 full-time employee). The owner of the business is considered an employee. Reduced and exempt fees are available for qualified residential businesses within the city limits of Vacaville only. Non-Profits are exempt from fees with proper 501c3 documentation.
