Who Needs a Business License

 

Every person (1099) or entity planning to engage in business within city limits, regardless of whether the business is subject to taxation or not, must apply for a license, pay applicable fees, and obtain the appropriate approvals in order to procure a license.

"Business" means profession, trade, occupation, gainful activities, and all and every kind of professional, commercial, and industrial calling whether or not carried on for profit.

Can I pay for multiple years ahead of time?

 Renewals are only accepted up to 90 days prior to the license expiration date. 

How do I get a renewal invoice?

 We do not generate invoices for a business license. 

When will I receive my renewal notice?

 Emailed renewal notices are sent two months prior to the expiration month and paper notices one month prior. If you require a paper notice, wait for the paper notice that will automatically be sent to you one month prior.
