The city of Tallahassee offers to Assist customers in different ways like grants, loans, and rebates.

Grants:

• Ceiling insulation grants are provided to the electric customers who don't cross the boundary line of qualified insulation.
• Energy Efficiency retrofit grants up to $500 are given to qualified customers for the improvement in their HVAC systems. 

Rebates:

• Efficient HVAC rebates are provided for customers who are using a qualified heating or cooling system.
• Energy star appliances rebate is available for customers with qualified energy star level home.
• Natural gas appliance rebates are granted to customers using natural gas.

 Loans

• Energy efficiency loans are provided to customers to purchase such appliances which will help them save energy.
• Stormwater on-site mitigation loans are provided to assist residents with drainage problems.

Then click on the smart bills tab or you may call  850-891-4968 to get enrolled. When the process of enrolling complete you'll be sent a confirmation email and your next and upcoming utility bills will come to you through email.

No, smart utility billing is completely free for all customers. Smart billing through electronic payments is also free. Once the whole process is complete and when you feel secure you can even pay your bills in auto mode via   ACH transfer or credit/debit cards.
