HOW DO I SET UP MY WATER ACCOUNT?
Water accounts are set up at Metter City Hall during regular business hours. A picture ID, as well as a rent receipt or lease agreement must be provided at time of service.
WHAT’S THE COST TO START UTILITY SERVICES?
The total cost for starting a water account is $165. This consists of a $125 deposit and a $40 service fee. Restaurants are required to provide a $275 deposit and a $40 service fee to begin water service.
WHEN IS MY BILL DUE?
Bills are mailed out on the 25th of each month. If not paid by the 10th, a 10% penalty will be added to your account. Bills not paid by the 20th of the month will have a $45 delinquent fee added to their account, as well as be subject to disconnection.
CAN THE DEPOSIT BE ADDED TO MY FIRST BILL?
