How do I pay the bill in Hayward City?

 Important: If previous balances are not paid by the date printed on the payment stub, water service may be stopped. If you have received a shut-off notice, please do not mail your payment. Instead, contact the billing office at 510.583.4624.

  • Automatic Payments from your checking account: To set up automatic payments, fill out the form and mail it with a voided check.
  • By phone: Dial 1.855.385.9416. You will need both your account and customer numbers. Payments can be made by using a Visa or Mastercard. A $3.95 convenience fee will apply.
  • Online: Once you have an account number. A $3.95 Convenience Fee will apply to all online payments.
  • By mail: Send your check or money order and the bill stub in the envelope provided with your bill. If you do not have the bill stub, mail it to P.O. Box 6004, Hayward, CA 94540.
  • In-person during business hours: Revenue Division, City Hall – First Floor, 777 B Street, Hayward, 8 am to 6 pm - Monday through Thursday and 8 am to 12noon on Friday.
  • In-person after business hours: Place an envelope with your check or money order and the bill stub in the night drop box located outside City Hall on the front east side of the building facing Watkins Street. Payments will be processed the following workday.
