Will I receive a reminder if I forgot to pay my taxes on time?
We do send out a courtesy notice a couple of weeks after the tax was due, letting you know that that your taxes are late. The notice will show what amount of tax was owed and the penalty that has accrued.
Is there a penalty if I pay my taxes late and can it be waived?
If you pay your 1st half or 2nd half propety tax after the due dates, a penalty will be added to your tax. The later you pay, the greater the penalty you must pay. The back of your tax statement shows the table with the penalty amounts.
