How much is the convenience fee for paying property taxes in different payment methods?

The Treasurer's office does not charge a fee, however the credit processing company will charge a convenience fee for each transaction made, the transaction fees are as follows: Credit card & Debit card 2.35% or minimum of $1.95 Visa Check Card $3.95 per transaction E-Check $1.50 per transaction. What is the penalty if i don't pay them in time?

A DELINQUENT BILL WILL BE MAILED TO YOU BEFORE SEPTEMBER 1. THAT BILL WILL STATE DATES ADDITIONAL INTEREST WILL BE CHARGED, THE ADVERTISING DATES PRIOR TO TAX LIEN SALE, WHEN THE ADVERTISING COST WILL BE DUE, AND THE TAX LIEN SALE DATE. THE DELINQUENT TAX LIENS WILL BE PUBLISHED THREE CONSECUTIVE DATES PRIOR TO THE TAX LIEN SALE. IF PAYMENT IS MADE AFTER THE CUT OFF DATE FOR THE ADVERTISING CHARGES ,YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO PAY FOR THE COST OF THE ADVERTISING IN ADDITION TO THE TAX AND INTEREST CHARGES. THE TAX LIEN IS SOLD AT THE ANNUAL TAX LIEN SALE. WE DO NOT SELL PROPERTY AT THE TAX LIEN SALES. THERE IS A REDEMPTION PERIOD OF THREE YEARS FROM THE TAX LIEN SALE DATE BEFORE A TREASURER’S DEED CAN BE ISSUED. HOWEVER, ALL SUBSEQUENT TAXES THAT HAVE ACCRUED WILL ALSO BE DUE. IF AN APPLICATION FOR A TREASURER’S DEED IS MADE, NOTIFICATION BY CERTIFIED MAIL WILL BE MAILED, PROVIDED A CORRECT ADDRESS IS ON FILE WITH THE COUNTY ASSESSOR AND TREASURER.
