Where can I pay my property taxes?

You can pay property taxes at 900 S. Polk St Suite 106 or mail your payment to: Potter County Tax Assessor-Collector, P.O. Box 2289, Amarillo, TX 79105-2289. Please enclose a copy of your statement or the payment stub with your payment or write the Property ID Number(s) on your check.

When are the statements, mailed out and when are the taxes due?

Statements are mailed out in October each year. If you have not received your statement by mid-November, it is your responsibility to notify us so that we can send out another statement. Taxes are due upon receipt of the statement and become delinquent on February 1st.

If I can't pay my taxes in full, do I have options?

Yes! Call the Tax Office to learn more about the following options: 1. Making partial payments 2. Quarter payments in four equal installments for an individual who is: disabled or at least 65 years of age; and qualified for an exemption under Section 11.13(c); or an individual who is qualified for an exemption under Section 11.22.
