What is the penalty for the late payment of Property taxes in Memphis, TN?

Real Estate, Personal and State Assessed Property have a 1.5% interest added the first of each month on the unpaid tax balance after the delinquency date indicated on the tax bill sent to you by the City of Memphis's Treasurer.

Please note that CBID assessments have a 1% interest and 1% penalty added the first of each month on the unpaid assessment balance after the delinquency date.

Can I make a partial payment of my Memphis City Property taxes?

Yes, partial payments for property taxes are accepted by the City of Memphis. Partial payments of property taxes will be applied to the oldest year with taxes due not in bankruptcy or under appeal.
