When are my property taxes due in Maryland?

Annual tax bills are due September 30th. The first semi-annual installments are due September 30th. Supplemental and revised tax bills are due 30 days from the time of issue. Pursuant to Maryland Law, tax payments must be made on or before the due date to avoid interest and penalty charges. 

How do I pay my Maryland property taxes?

Online or phone payments can be made from your home. Begin by entering your account number, or bill number, or street address for the bill you want to pay in the box below. Then click on the payment type. To pay by phone, call 240-777-8898.
 

Paying by electronic check will not incur any service fees and you can conveniently schedule these payments to be paid on the date you select.
You can also pay by credit/debit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover with a 2.3% service fee). Please note that this 2.3% fee is the processing cost charged by the credit card processor for the convenience of paying with a credit card and, if paying by credit card, cannot be waived. 

How are my real property taxes calculated?

Real property tax is calculated by multiplying the tax rate (per $100) by the property's assessed value. The tax rate is set each year by the County Council.
