What happens if I did not receive a bill?

Taxpayers are required to know that bills are due and payable on October 1st of each year and considered delinquent January 1. If you did not receive a bill call the tax office immediately. 

How do I make payment?

Send or bring your payment to the Tax Collector's office. Your check should be made payable to: LYNDA HALL AS TAX COLLECTOR. If a receipt is needed, send a STAMPED, SELF-ADDRESSED ENVELOPE. Otherwise, no receipt will be sent. You may also pay by E-check or credit card online There is a 2.30% convenience fee for all credit and debit card transactions. E-checks are free. 

When will I receive my tax bill?

Alabama law does not require that a tax bill be sent until after taxes become delinquent. This office does send out a courtesy notice by October 1. A delinquent and final bill will be sent after January 1st if you have not paid your taxes by December 31st. If you did not receive a notice for any reason, you must contact our office for a manual notice.
