When do I pay my taxes?

Please contact the Tax Collector's office at (256) 532-3370 or taxcol@madisoncountyal.gov if you have any questions regarding the following tax dates:

Tax due - October 1
Tax delinquent - 1st Week of January (notices mailed)

If you are making payments after December 31st, due to interest and late fees please call our office at (256) 532-3370 for an exact figure. 

How can I pay my tax bill?

When will I receive my tax bill?

Alabama law does not require that a tax bill be sent until after taxes become delinquent. This office does send out a courtesy notice by October 1. A delinquent and final bill will be sent after January 1st if you have not paid your taxes by December 31st. If you did not receive a notice for any reason, you must contact our office for a manual notice.
