Mailed payments will be accepted for the amount due on the date of the postmark. Note that a postal meter date is not acceptable proof of posting. Property tax due dates are set by statute and the Office of Sheriff has no authority to negotiate deadlines or offer extensions. Bills not paid by April 15, 2019 become delinquent with a penalty of 21% and are transferred to the Fayette County Clerk for collection. Additional costs, fees, and interest are added after this date and the bills may be subject to sale to a third-party.

A convenience fee applies to online payments and you will have an opportunity to review these fees before proceeding with your payment. Please note that convenience fees are charged by financial institutions for processing your transaction and that the Office of Sheriff receives no portion of these charges.
