View El Dorado Secured and Unsecured property tax statements and pay them online using this service. If paying after the listed due date, additional amounts will be owed and billed.

A non-refundable convenience fee will appear on your Credit Card statement as a separate charge. This amount is in addition to the tax bill payment. El Dorado County does not receive any part of the convenience fee. It is imposed solely by the third-party payment processor. Currently fees are: $.75 for EFT and $3.00 plus 2.2% for Credit Cards.

What if I don't receive my annual tax bill by November 10th?

You can print or view your bill at the Tax Collector’s website online. If you do not receive a tax bill by November 10th, it is your responsibility to contact the Tax Collector’s Office for the amount to pay. By law, penalties cannot be waived because of failure to receive a tax bil

What is the Homeowner’s Exemption and how do I apply for it?

A property owner may claim a Homeowner’s exemption in California on a residence that is both owned and occupied at 12:01 a.m. on January 1; or files within 30 days of a change in ownership or new construction for which a supplemental assessment is levied. The exemption can reduce your assessed value by up to $7,000!

What is the delinquent date for property tax in El Dorado County?

You can pay your property tax in two installments. The first installment is due November 1 and becomes delinquent after December 10 while the second installment is due February 1 and becomes delinquent after April 10.
If you pay in person at the Collector's office then you can pay till 5:00 p.m. on the last day. But if you pay online then you can pay till 12:00 a.m. midnight on the last day without delinquency.

Can I use the bill pay service of the bank for paying my property tax?

Yes, you can this service but before using must read their terms and policies. The bank usually takes 8 to 10 days to process and to transfer the payment to Treasurer's office. So, it is recommended if you use their service then must send payments at least 10 days before the delinquent date. Otherwise, your tax will become delinquent if it could not reach to the office by the due date.

My mailing address has changed. How do I inform the Treasurer's office?
