Pay by Mail: Taxes may be paid by mailing payment with the payment stub from the bottom of the tax bill to the address shown on the stub in the envelope provided.
If you do not have your payment stub, make your check payable and remit to:

Pay in Person: Payments can be made in person at the office of the Tax Collector at 201 E. Main Street 3rd Floor in Durham, NC.
Pay by Phone: Payment by phone call toll free 1-866-892-0656Call: 1-866-892-0656. You will be charged a convenience fee for this service. This fee is not part of your tax, and Durham County does not receive the convenience fee. ONLINE: Research your bill and pay online using a shopping cart.
Pay by E-CHECK: Citizens can pay their property taxes using their checking account information. You will need your routing number and checking account number to process through e-check. There is no convenience fee when making an e-check payment.
Pay with DEBIT/CREDIT CARD: Citizens can pay their property taxes with a credit or debit card via the Internet or by telephone. Credit card payments will require a payment in full; there are no partial payments accepted using the credit card method. You will be charged a convenience fee for this service.
This fee is not part of your tax, and Durham County does not receive the convenience fee. The convenience fee will be displayed on your screen prior to submitting payment and if using the phone system this fee will be provided prior to submitting for payment.
