Taxes are due by May 17.
I didn’t pay my taxes last year, now what do I do?
Option 1: Call the Finance Office at (507)635-6240 to find out the amount of past due taxes, the amount given will include late payment penalties and interest.
Option 2: Follow the same procedures you would for paying your taxes on-line, all tax calculations, including delinquent tax calculations, are up to date and listed on-line.
If I pay my property taxes late, is there a penalty?
If you pay your first half or second half property tax after the due dates, a penalty will be added to your tax. The later you pay the greater the penalty you must pay.
If an installment due date falls on a weekend, it is due the next business day.
