When are payments due?

All taxes on real property, personal property, and improvements on leased land shall be paid in on of the following ways:

• In full on or before January 31st.
• In 2 installments, with the first installment payable on or before January 31st and the second installment payable on or before July 31st. The exception being if the tax is less than $100.00 then the full amount is due on or before January 31st.
• Personal property taxes must be paid in full by January 31st.

All payments postmarked through January 31st are made payable to the local treasurer. Payments made February 1st, including second installments and delinquent taxes are due to the Crawford County Treasurer, except for personal property. 

Where do I make my payments?

Real estate tax payments must be made to the local town, village of city on or before January 31st (name and address can be found in top left of the tax bill) and to the county treasurer after January 31st. Personal property tax is paid to the local treasurer.  

When will I receive my tax bill?

Tax bills are mailed by the local treasurer in December of each year. They usually include a letter regarding any special collection times, place, and any other information the municipality wishes to send.
