Tax bills usually go out in mid to late summer. Property taxes are technically due on September 1 of each year. Property taxes can, however, be paid as late as January 6 of the following year without interest or penalty.

Catawba bills on a fiscal year basis. The fiscal year is from July 1st to June 30th. The tax rate is determined by June 30th and then applied to the tax value and property owner that were in place on January 1st of the same year.

Taxpayers may pay their tax by using a credit/debit card (Visa/MasterCard) or bank draft via the online payment system, or by contacting an agent at 1-877-252-3252. Taxpayers may also pay their tax with a personal check, money order, or cashier's check.
