What is the process to dispute a parking citation in Tampa, Florida?

Any person who wishes to contest the validity of a parking citation may  request a court hearing by contacting the City of Tampa Parking  Division. All requests must be made within seven (7) calendar days of the date of the infraction. Upon such request, a summons for court  appearance will be issued to confirm the time and date of the court hearing.

You may request a review or hearing for your citation.  On the request page, select the Appeal Citation link. If you do not  have a registered account with the Parking Division, please look under  "New Customer" and select "Create a new account". Once registered you  can then submit for a dispute or appeal. Emailed disputes and appeals will NOT be accepted. ALL disputes and appeals must be filed through our  online systems.

When contacting the City to request a review or hearing,  you will need to provide the following information:

  • Copy of the original ticket with citation number
  • Vehicle registration
  • Driver's license
  • Daytime phone number
  • Email address
