You can call our office at (417) 868-4074 (option #5). We can look up your case number and tell you how much you owe, the due date and whether or not the account has been placed with collection.
Typically, fines and costs are due on the day you come to court and the case is disposed. If you have not paid the fines and costs in full within 30 days of the date of judgment, a one-time $25.00 time payment fee is assessed. You will also receive a notice that your driver’s license will be suspended (if convicted of a suspendable offense) if fines and costs are not paid within 30 days from the date of the notice. At that point you will have an additional 30 days to pay. If you still fail to pay in full, your driver’s license will be suspended (if applicable) and your account will be sent to collections. If the fines and costs are sent to collections, a one-time collection fee equal to 20% of the balance due will be added.
Any extension must be approved by the judge and will require a court appearance. To request extensions, please come to open court Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. and report to the Circuit Clerk’s Office first.
