If I have a complaint against a police officer. What should I do?

The department is committed to maintaining a professional force; and in this regard if anyone has a complaint concerning an officer’s actions, he/she is encouraged to speak with a shift supervisor at 910-455-1472 or come to the Police Department and someone will assist you. The Police Department will diligently investigate the complaint. 

How do I get a copy of a police report?

You can request it by mail, include a self addressed / stamped envelope, or come in to the police department, 206 North Marine Boulevard, Jacksonville, North Carolina 28541, Monday through Sunday, 8 a.m. to 12 a.m.. There is a fee for copies of police reports if: three pages or more $0.15 each page and $0.35 for color; however, you must be the affected party (victim) or representative / agent of the affected party involved to receive a copy of a report. 

How do I retrieve my property that the Jacksonville Police Department has custody of?

Jacksonville Police Department’s Property Management Division handles the release of property at the Police Station on Monday through Friday from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Please contact the Property Management Supervisor or staff for additional information at 910-455-1472.
