Request a marriage verification letter from the Texas Department of State Health Services. The verification letter indicates if the marriage was recorded with the State of Texas.
If the record is available, a verification letter will include the name, date of birth or death, and county of birth or death. Please note that a Verification Letter may not be accepted in place of a Marriage License.
